Ko Tao - Phuket

Hi,

after leaving Ko Tao, we got ourself a heat stroke, which made us really tired the next two days in Khao Sok Nationalpark.
After a long boat trip to the main land, we took the minibus to Khao Sok.

After getting the treehouse lodge in the Jungle Huts Resorts, we booked a day tour in the Nationalpark. Going by longboat to a small village, where we had lunch and afterwards treking the jungle.

The next day we decided to make an elephant tour.The Monsoon rain surprised us in the afternoon. After that we visited an old temple.

the next day we headed towards Krabi and took the boat to Ko Lanta. After relaxing from traveling we chilled out in the Why not Bar!

The next morning we took off to Phuket, where our flight goes tommorow back to Bangkok!

Frisur

Ja, es war ganz einfach mir diese Frisur beim oertlichen Barbier in Bangkok anfertigen zu lassen:-)



nachdem ich letztes Jahr von einer gewissen person inspiriert wurde und mir auch noch gesagt wurde, das geradezu erwartet wird, dass ich so zurueck komme inklusive vollbart, werde ich das auch anstreben!

nicht trends folgen, trends setzen...lol

Womit haben wir das verdient????

Viele werden sich fragen, ob es in Thailand wirklich so geil ist, wie alle sagen. Aber die Wirklichkeit sieht alles andere als rosig aus. Abgesehen von dem schlechten Wetter am Ozean und dem staendig abregnenden Monsoon sind dort einige andere Dinge, die hier ziemlich anoeden.

Die Menschen sind einfach nur auf die Kohle aus und lassen einen nicht in Ruhe relaxen,

die Hygiene ist unter aller Sau,

die Transportmoeglichkeiten sind total eingeschraenkt und bescheiden,

das Essen schmeckt einfach scheusslich,

das Wasser ist eiskalt und es gibt keine Korallen und Fische,

die Bungalowanlagen bieten einfach schlechten Service.

Das alles entspricht der Wahrheit,

wenn heute nicht Gegenteiltag waere:-))



Leben kann so einfach sein. Ruppi:"Klausi, wir muessen gutes Karma haben"!!!

Und nun zu den Fakten:

From Bangkok we took the 18h train to Surathani into the south. After we noticed that our tiket was a rip off, we had to wait 2 hours for the bus to Dom Sak to take the boat to Ko Samui.



In Ko Samui we stayed in a place called Utopia. Our Bungalow was expensiv (10 Euro| night), but we had breakfast included and a 25m walk to the beach. We enjoyed a Thaimassage, chilled in the city and watched a Muay Thai Fight.

After spending 2 days on Ko Samui we headed to Ko Tao, a more relaxing Island good for snorkeling. The Phanun Bungalow offered us free snorkeling equipment and a nice diving spot. After fixing Nadines diving goggles, so that she could see something under water, we spent a half day snorkeling.
We found new friends at the bungalow, Ulrike+Peter+Bruno+Natalie and spend the whole evening eating and drinking togehter.Before we went to bed we listened to the Orchester of animals, which were making music the whole night.



After booking the tour to Khao Sok NAtionalpark our bungalow owner took us to the peer. We were on the boat and bus for 10h until we reached Khao Sok. There we stayed in a Treebungalow (Jungle Huts) and booked a Jungle Tour for the next day.
After taking the boat for one hour over the lake, we reached or walking track. We walked 4h through little creeks into the deep raainforest. At the returning point we entered a cave.

In the evening we went back the same way but had to sit on the back of a pickup, which was good because we saw fireflies and lots of lightnings in the beautiful Thai-Mountains.

Today we have been on an elephant tour through the Jungle. The first half of the trip was hotter than hell and after reaching a cascade, we could get water-conditioning. But this shouldn't be enough...after we continued the tour the monsoon started and we both were wet after 30 seconds.



After that our bungalow boss took us to some small cascades and a buddhist temple.

Tommorow we'll leave to the Andaman Sea to invade Ko Phiphi or Ko Lanta...we don't know yet, like everything on this Thailand trip so far!

From Australia to Thailand

After going up to Darwin and feeling the drunken atmosphere from all those english and irish islandmonkeys I decided with a german chic to rent a campervan and go to Kakadu nationalpark.

After several kakadus, crocodiles, other birds, dingos and billabongs (waterholes) and Rockpaintings I headed the day before yesterday back to Darwin. Conny (german chic) dropped me off at the airport and I flew over Singapor into Bangkok.

After taking the aiport shuttle got stuck in the traffic I got dropped off somewhere in the huge city without orientation. Not enough there had to be a demonstartion and I had to walk with my back 1 hour through the demonstration to catch the nearest metro.

Then I didn't find the hostel because Klaus had the map and came accidently one day later...so after calling the Thai owner I got some road directions and with the help of Allah...aaehh Buddha I found it.

After meeting Joel (an Irish chic) I took the Tuk Tuk and made a city tour, saw the sleeping Buddha, some other temples and went through the streets to taste some thaifood.

Bangkok is really crazy. Tommorow me and NAdine are going to leave to Ko Samui and start a 2 week south Thailand tour!

Na ihr Schwimmbutzen!!!
Nachdem Sveni mich heute nachmittag an den Flughafen gebracht hat, kamen uns die dort anwesenden Fluggaeste irgendwie schon ziemlich merkwuerdig vor. Poldi bezeichnete das ganze kurz und knapp als 'freakshow'! Einer von denen (merkwuerdig rasierte haare aufm kopf und irgendwie voll komischer klamottenstyle) fiehl uns beiden dirket auf. Jetzt duerfen alle mal raten, wer im flugzeug neben mir sass... naja, nach einem schier nicht enden wollende flug von fast 12 stunden empfing mich unser ruppert dann am flughafen bangkok.



Ab in den Bus und auf gings das erste mal in richtung city zu unserem hostel. Neue Bestzeit: 1.5 Std.! Dort alles aufs zimmer gebracht und ab ins getuemmel. Der TuckTuck fahrer unseres Vertrauens steuerte uns ab da zielstrebig stundenlang von einer sehenswuerdigkeit zur naechsten.

Nachdem mir bereits beim Besuch des ersten Tempels so ne doofe Taube auf den Kopf geschissen hatte, gings weiter durch ein wahnsinniges Chaos, was man hier auf den Strassen vorfindet. Aber wie das immer so ist: das mit dem verkehr klappt hier irgendwie trotzdem viiiel besser als bei uns! Auch wenn man zwischenzeitlich echt mal kurz den ueberblick verliert. Orientierungsmoeglichkeiten in dieser Stadt liegen fuer den gemeinen europaer quasi bei null! Nachdem wir dann bei dem ein oder anderen garkuechen am strassenrand unseren hunger befriedigt hatten, gings dann gegen 19 uhr endlich in richtung hostel... da kommen wir um die ecke und ploetzlich steh ich vor nem junior-elefanten!

Son Typ sitzt oben drauf und laeft mit dem kleinen kerl in den engen gassen umher und schnorrt futter zusammen! Ich durfte ihn dann auch mal fuettern und fuer 20 bt's (50 cent) auch noch ein paar nette Bilder machen!

jetzt ist mein hirn endgueltig voll mit fast 48 std. Dauerinfo! und wenn das so weiter geht, hab ich morgen schon vergessen, was heute war! morgen mittag gehts via zug ueber nacht in richtung sueden. mit bus und faehre dann auf Koh Samui! Und dann erst mal chillen! ich wuensch euch allen daheim ganz liebe gruesse aus dem sehr sehr (!!!) schwuelen thailand! ;-)

After another night on the bus I arrived in Broome. It's even hotter than in Exmouth and the earth is more red. I didn't get to check in my hostel, so I had to go to another shitty one. Noone says hello, everybody just drunk and really rude. (Scheiss Inselaffen)

I'm glad to leave today to Darwin. But though I had a good time relaxing at the beach and watching the sunset.

I also met Yasmin again, who is working here! I enjoyed meeting at least one normal person here:-) Have a nice time in New-Zealand!!!

Back on the road

Finally, I'm back on the road...After working 2 month in Adelaide and a murder party on the last night there (thx Ricky!!!), I stepped in the Indian-Pacific train from Adlelaide to Perth. It was a nice trip through the middle of Australia with basicallly nothing than a wide view.



But though it was good to see something of the dimensions of the outback..really impressiv!

On the train I met some locals and of course Germans and Dutch friends. During a 4 hour stop in Kalgoorlie ( a gold mining town) we all went to a pub and had some wine.
After me and Gefion got kicked out for not wearing the appropiate gear, we had all the old australian train fellows on our side and they were giving the bouncers shit...lol

Arrived in Perth I stayed with Fabien, a German friend who I met in Melbourne. Thx Fabien for giving me a place to stay!!!
Perth was really sunny but still cold in the morning and at night. After touring the city and making a boattrip to Freemantle I took the bus to Exmouth.

Driving along the Westcoast I enjoyed the changing landscape. It's getting warmer with every hour and in Exmouth its too hot for me.

I got sunburned the first day we were snorkeling the Ningaloo Reef. Me, Gerome, Caroline and Marian rented a car and went to Turquiose Beach. Awesome experience.



Tonight, I'm leaving to Broome which is further north and I hope I will survive the heat and the Kanguruh Attacks on the bus:-)
